The history of Coquetdale Amateur Dramatic Society (CADS) on Fri 3rd Dec 2020
The Rothbury & Coquetdale History Society welcomed members and visitors in celebrating the return of public meetings, following our regular zoom meetings throughout the pandemic.
The topic was the history of Coquetdale Amateur Dramatic Society (CADS) and was presented by Joan Wilkinson, a founder member. It was a fascinating story with original posters and photographs from throughout the years accompanied by thoroughly entertaining anecdotes. Wonderfully talented and enthusiastic local people of all age ranges have produced a variety of musicals and pantomimes since its conception in 2001. It has become a much-loved annual event which is part of our village life. It was a most enjoyable, joyful and well attended evening. CADS is already rehearsing for their next production in February entitled “Comeback Cabaret”.
